This volume contains a foreword by the editors, six contributions on important evidence from seventeen campaigns of field research by the Deutsches Bergbau-Museum Bochum in Central Oman since the year 1977 as well as a joint bibliography for the texts. The papers deal with the multiple burial W1 from Al-Wasit containing many stone vessels and carnelian beads and comparable sites allowing a redefinition of the second millennium B.C. in the south-eastern Arabian region, with the skeletal remains of thirteen adults and three children from the excavation at al-Wasit carried out in 1989, with the cemetery of seventeen rich chamber graves at al-Akhdar near Samad al-Shan in the Sharqiya region discovered in 1973 and investigated until 1982, with thermoluminescence dating of pottery finds from Oman executed in 1982-1983, with excavations and surveys of graves, settlements etc. in the oasis town of Izki, known from cuneiform tablets, and neighbouring areas in Central Oman documented in 2011, and with the lithological and mineralogical description of the steatite bowl DA 7540 from grave B42 at Bawshar.
